Pulpit Driven Church or Kingdom Driven Church?
90% of churches today are “pulpit driven” churches. A pulpit driven church model considers the work of the ministry to be the pastor preaching from a pulpit to the congregation - along with other programs designed to keep people coming and attendance up. They consider this the work of the ministry.
This model produces a mentality that when a person goes about their life Monday thru Saturday, this is their “secular life.” So they anticipate getting back to “church and Kingdom things” on Sunday.
However, a “Kingdom Driven” church model considers that every person has a ministry beyond the walls of the church wherever God has placed them in society. This is THEIR pulpit.
The Kingdom model is concerned with properly discipling, equipping and SENDING every person into the world as carriers of the Kingdom of God - thus the local church is not limited by it’s walls, but by the distance its people will go carrying the Kingdom of God. A Kingdom driven church is the only kind of church that can truly impact a region or nation, and fulfill the Great Commission.
