THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INTERCESSION AND REVIVAL

If you want to see breakthrough, you must use the right keys in prayer and intercession. Through intercession you can begin to remove the grip of a Strongman or Principality that has held territory. Issue after issue in a region can be prayed through until the Strongman is stripped of the “armour on which he relies” (Luke 11:22), and things begin to change. 

Suddenly diverse types of people wake up to the gospel and respond as though their eyes have been opened! When they find their way into a church, that church realizes it needs systems and new wineskins to handle the Harvest. They see their own leadership deficit in handling the fruitless of people once bound. This creates a swell of desire from Believers to be trained and equipped because they now recognize the harvest that was already ripe and ready, but the problem was the lack of “labourers.” 

As you watch each finger of the grip of the Strongman removed from a city, it creates a momentum in the spirit and it feels as though the Heavens are being opened, and people start to have a corporate recognition of God. People who have never been to church before suddenly find themselves stirred to come and stirred to repentance even in their homes. You can now turn your swords and spears back into plowshares and pruning hooks, and start reaping in the land you have fought for through prayer and intercession.
