HOW I TRADED UNHEALTHY CHRISTIANITY FOR A KINGDOM OF PEACE

The world more than ever before is looking for peace. You might even already know God yet are saying,  “I am a Christian yes, but I don’t have peace in my life.”

I myself grew up in the church, and I was still looking for peace in the challenging seasons of my life. We know and we are told that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. You might be saying, “Ok if you’re the ‘Prince of Peace,’ and you are living inside of me - let’s get this peace thing going! Is there a passcode or a button I need to press?” 

The question for many people is, “How do I get the peace of God working in my life?” 

For me, I made a great discovery. I realized that Jesus is the king of a kingdom, and there are Kingdom laws (principles) that He rules with. Not EVERYTHING is easily answered through prayer. The practice of His principles which are hidden in scripture, give us access to the benefits that come with Kingdom citizenship. 

This realization sent me on a journey of looking at my life in a holistic way. For every area of my life I looked for Kingdom principles that apply. I studied God, and I studied myself to analyze how God made human beings to function best. How I could best express His image and live in fullness. Through this pursuit - wisdom came. 

The world, and humanity that God created, were designed to exist by laws and principles. Laws and principles that God created. To practice Kingdom principles is to invite great wisdom into your life. Those who discover those laws and principles will truly become “the head and not the tail.” 

I have discovered that salvation redeems our souls, and gives us access to the Father and His greater Kingdom. It is possible to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Once you are a citizen of His Kingdom, it is impossible to not live in peace. 

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
