I HATE TO SOUND LIKE A BROKEN RECORD BUT… CAN APOSTLES AND PROPHETS WORK TOGETHER? 

One of the great longings in the Body of Christ is actually emerging at this present time. I am speaking about prophets working in functional connection with apostles…

You might be saying at this point, “Yes we have attempted that years ago and accomplished little to nothing.” However, let me argue that just because something has been attempted in years gone by, or feels frozen in time in theory, doesn’t mean it can’t come to realization. 

One of the main hinderances to this goal however, is quite simple. Immature prophets and immature apostles will always find it a struggle to connect and work together. But we are looking at a more mature expression of Christ in these last days.

I believe that a genuine apostolic/prophetic glory in it’s MATURITY, is largely yet to be seen, and will not be found in some sort of man made co-dependant relational structure. But rather within a Spirit driven interdependent synergy, brought on by a last days necessity for equipping the saints to reach the world.

However, the great realization that is now knocking at the door of the Church, is that for all of our prophetic ministries, schools, round tables, and conferences…and even business cards - prophetic ministry in its current expression has not been enough to spark, or steward a nation changing revival. It certainly hasn’t been enough to establish the Church to fulfill its mandate (The Great Commission of Jesus) in any measurable way. 

In fact, I believe (and many are saying similar) that we are arguably coming to the end of a “prophetic OVER-emphasis”, and into profound realization of a great need for prophets to have connection to apostles and apostolic ministry. I would describe some prophetic ministry expressions today as somewhat like a car spinning its tires. The car works, has nice tires, but has lost traction. And the only way to find it again, might be to connect to an apostolic vehicle and pull together.
